Monitor Your Healing
Thermography is a non-invasive and risk-free assessment, providing a very practical tool in a sports medicine clinics or the training rooms to assess injury and make clinical decisions. As well as helping to confirm a diagnosis, thermography is a risk-free way to track and clinically assess healing process and treatment response.
Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI) has been recognized as a viable diagnostic tool since 1987. It was officially recognized by the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in 1990. A number of studies have been done to determine thermography's inter-examiner reliability and validity. In diagnosing low back pain, patients found 96% inter-observer reliability. In a study of patients with knee pain, 98% test efficiency and 94% inter-rater reliability was found.
